Ocean Spray Beach Resort

A few of my friends (who didn’t know each other) recommend Ocean Spray when I asked for ideas for a socially distanced vacation on the coast. It was perfect and Diane is lovely and checked in with us to see how we were doing and gave us excellent suggestions for exploring the area. The cabins are comfortable and cozy and my family definitely used the kitchen well. There were plenty of pots and pans and cooking utensils, coffee pot, toaster, blender, pancake griddle, and more. And we played some of the board games and I read a few of the books on from book shelf while sitting on the beach

I've stayed at this place since i was a child, I'm now 32 bringing my children EVERY SUMMER! It has only grown better over the years, cleaner, more appealing inside and out! The owner is friendly towards everybody, my dog and my silly kids.. She provides an area for rock painting, grilling, bonfire, horseshoes, seafood cleaning & much more.

Stayed here for a few nights with my friend. You can tell that they are updating the cottages and I hope they continue to do so. The one we were in was an older one. The shower was super tiny and the door was very hard to close on the bathroom and loud to do so. Some of the screens were missing on our windows, so hard to open at night unless you wanted bugs coming in. My main concern were the outlets in the bedrooms. You couldn’t get chargers to stay in them, they would fall out, they were too loose. The wifi didn’t connect for us, but luckily my phone worked here using data, my friend wasn’t so lucky. :/ Overall, a decent place to stay near the beach within a walking distance. Tables outside to use for outdoor dining as well.

Another great stay with Diane at Ocean Spray Beach resort. We have stayed here 4 times since they opened 9 years ago. We first stopped by after we got rained out at the Grayland Beach State Park. The cabins weren't ready but were undergoing extensive repairs. We were there the next year, We have our favorite cabins. Diane is the best hostess. Her staff are very friendly too. It's like staying with a dear friend. Our cabins have always been clean and ready for us. I don't know where the previous reviewer (traveler Michael ) stayed. I have never had any issues with mold. These are beach cabins. This is not the Sheraton. Do not stay here if you are expecting a 5 star hotel in a major city with impersonal service and attention. We have visited 3 times in August and once in October. Whenever Diane is off-site she lets us know or leaves a note on the office door. Yesterday we could not get the closed captioning off on the TV and she came right away and fixed it for us. All the cabins are themed and decorated by Diane. It's like a home away from home only better. I highly recommend the Ocean Spray Beach Resort. Also, there are two canine hosts Bailey and Sandy Beaches and one feline host Rocky Beaches. Rocky goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. The kitchens are well equipped with coffee beans, grinder, coffee maker, toaster, salt, pepper and various spices, a variety of pots, pans, utensils and silverware. Tons of fresh towels too. Extensive DVD collection to borrow for free. The beach is a short drive (1 minute) or a (7 minute walk) which is an added bonus. It's a great way to unwind. If you want a homey, friendly atmosphere and great customer service, this is the place for you. .

Came and spent a couple days with a friend who rented a cottage and it was amazing-relaxing and peaceful. Beds are comfortable and can smell and hear the ocean. Staff is friendly and everything is clean and no musty smoking smell. One of the best places to stay in my opinion.

Pros: the cabin is super cute and a short walk to the beach. The electric fireplace is nice. Kitchen amenities were helpful as I like to cook rather than go out every meal. Neighbors were older than me so it was quiet with no loud music or parties. Cons: the toilet paper holder and towel rack are not installed well and kept falling off the wall but that's an easy fix. There was a bowl of moldy food left in the microwave for some time so no one checked or cleaned that appliance recently. The body wash in the shower was near empty and fell off the rack. All of this is an easy fix though. I recommend this place for cozy accommodations and beach access. Check in was very easy too!

My wife and our 3 little dogs stayed here end of May, beginning of June 2024. We decided to stay a couple extra days due to the warm, friendly staff who were very accommodating. Anna and her husband were great, worked with us to add extra days without making it complicated. Accomodations were clean, and updated considering the cottages weren't brand new. Access to beach is close, withing walking distance. Stores are also close nearby. I would recommend this place for anyone staying in Grayland.

My 2 sisters and I stayed here a week ago. One of my sisters recommended it because she and her family have stayed here several times. There are new owners since she last stayed. There were a few minor issues during our stay but they were quickly addressed. The cottage was clean, comfortable beds, comfortable reclining sofa, and very short walking distance to the beach. We have always stayed at the north beaches for our sister weekends. But we enjoyed the laid back feeling of Grayland. Will be back next year if not sooner.
